Mark McLamb recently became a stay-at-home dad, which apparently afforded him more time to generate potential names for Greenville's new professional hockey franchise.
McLamb, of Simpsonville, submitted more than 100 names to the club's month-long name-the-team contest, including the Greenville Road Warriors -- which turned out to be the winner.
“I’d sit there at night and brainstorm,” McLamb said. “I think my favorite was the Greenville Glory. Road Warriors was one of my late entries.”
Late, but great, according to Neil Smith, owner of Greenville's new entry in the ECHL.
