PRINCETON, N.J. - Idaho Steelheads rookie Richard Bachman is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
The 22 year old was 2-0-1 with a goals-against average of 2.25 and a save percentage of .901 in three games at Alaska to help the Steelheads improve to 7-0-1 with a league-leading 15 points and a league-best goals-against average of 2.25.
He stopped 20 shots in a 5-3 win on Oct. 30 and 22 shots in a 3-2 win on Nov. 1 while turning aside 22 in a 3-2 shootout loss on Oct. 31.
Selected in the fourth round (120th overall) in the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft by Dallas and under NHL contract to the Stars, Bachman is 4-0-1 and tied for the league lead in wins while ranking ninth with a goals-against average of 2.35.
He played the last two seasons at Colorado College where he was 39-20-11 with seven shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.24 and a save percentage of .922 in 70 games.
