ECHL announces fines, suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspension.

Elmira’s Larocque fined

Elmira’s Mario Larocque has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #646, Florida at Elmira, on March 17.

Larocque was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.3 at 12:31 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Reading’s Labelle fined

Reading’s Olivier Labelle has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #650, Wheeling at Reading, on March 17.

Labelle is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Wheeling’s Bushee fined, suspended

Wheeling’s Kyle Bushee has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #650, Wheeling at Reading, on March 17.

Bushee is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Bushee will miss Wheeling’s game at Elmira today.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Wheeling’s Crowder fined

Wheeling’s Paul Crowder has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #650, Wheeling at Reading, on March 17.

Crowder is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Stockton’s Foy fined

Stockton’s Matt Foy has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #652, Utah at Stockton, on March 17.

Foy was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.3 at 12:57 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
