ECHL announces fines, suspensions



PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Trenton’s Taylor fined, suspended

Trenton’s Justin Taylor has been suspended for one game fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #343, Trenton at Reading, on Dec. 28.

Taylor was assessed a match penalty under Rule #46.14 at 13:39 of the third period.

Taylor will miss Trenton’s game vs. Reading tonight (Dec. 29).


Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Bakersfield’s Gimblett fined, suspended

Bakersfield’s Tyson Gimblett has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #350, Stockton at Bakersfield, on Dec. 28.

Gimblett was assessed a match penalty under Rule #48.5 at 3:28 of the second period.

Gimblett will miss Bakersfield’s games vs. Idaho tonight (Dec. 29) and Jan. 2.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Stockton’s Zahn fined, suspended

Stockton’s Teigan Zahn has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in the third period of ECHL Game #350, Stockton at Bakersfield, on Dec. 28.

Zahn is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Zahn will miss Stockton’s game vs. Las Vegas tonight (Dec. 29).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Trenton’s Mangene fined

Trenton’s Matt Mangene has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #343, Trenton at Reading, on Dec. 28.

Mangene was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 12:20 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Reading’s Paquette fined

Reading’s Danick Paquette has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #343, Trenton at Reading, on Dec. 28.

Paquette was assessed a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 12:20 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Toledo’s Lampl fined

Toledo’s Cody Lampl has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #344, Cincinnati at Toledo, on Dec. 28.

Lampl was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 9:09 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Florida’s Bogosian fined

Florida’s Aaron Bogosian has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #359, Florida at Orlando, on Dec. 28.

Bogosian was assessed a game misconduct for aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 18:10 of the second period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
