ECHL announces fines, suspensions
PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Trenton’s Heeter fined, suspended
Trenton’s Cal Heeter has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #490, Wheeling at Trenton, on Jan. 26.
Heeter was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #53.4 at 7:02 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Heeter will miss Trenton’s game at Elmira today (Jan. 27) and any further discipline will be announced this week.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Orlando’s Cruthers fined, suspended
Orlando’s Ryan Cruthers has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #496, Orlando at South Carolina, on Jan. 26.
Cruthers was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 10:59 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Cruthers will miss Orlando’s game at South Carolina today (Jan. 27) and any further discipline will be announced this week.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Utah’s Maxwell fined, suspended
Utah’s Tommy Maxwell has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #499, Utah at Stockton, on Jan. 26.
Maxwell was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for interference under Rule #56.4 at 9:35 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Maxwell will miss Utah’s game at Stockton today (Jan. 27) and any further discipline will be announced this week.

Evansville’s Moon fined
Evansville’s Nathan Moon has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #493, Fort Wayne at Evansville, on Jan. 26.
Moon was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 7:11 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Idaho’s Ralph fined
Idaho head coach Brad Ralph has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #495, Idaho at Gwinnett, on Jan. 26.
Ralph was assessed a game misconduct under Rule #39.5 at 20:00 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.
