Senators assign Kramer to Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals announced today that forward Darren Kramer has been reassigned to the team by the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Kramer, a rookie, was a sixth-round selection (156th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional debut with Binghamton in a 2-1 overtime win at Hershey on Oct. 21, 2012.

Prior to turning pro Kramer played two seasons with the Western Hockey League's Spokane Chiefs and two seasons with the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Grand Prairie Storm. He twice topped 300 penalty minutes in a season in his junior career, and over 235 games spent 1.037 minutes in the sin bin. The 6-1, 200-pound winger set career highs with Spokane last season with 22 goals and 18 assists. His goal total was third best on the club while his 40 points were good for seventh.
