Nick Mazzolini (F)

Biography

Mazzolini was born and raised in Anchorage and played at Service H.S. for three years before moving onto prep school and eventually the North American Hockey League. He enrolled at Providence in the fall of 2005 and scored 67 points (25g-42a) in 128 collegiate games for the Friars. Mazzolini scored twice in a win over Merrimack Jan. 31, 2009 and was named Hockey East Player of the Week. He served as an assistant captain in his junior year, when he scored four points (2g-2a) in a weekend sweep of Maine. Nick led the Friars with 16 assists and finished second on the club with 21 points as a sophomore in 2006-07.
