2004-2006: Played 2 seasons for Williams Lake Timberwolves of the BCHL - 107 games scoring 35 points on 5 goals and 30 assists – 79 PIM - named Rookie of the Year in 04/05 season – named Asst. Captain for 05/06 season - twice named BCHL Player of the Week and selected to 05/06 BCHL All-Star Game. 2006-10: NCAA University of Denver Pioneers – 136 career games scoring 12 points on 3 goals and 9 assists -131 PIM – led team in blocked shots during Senior year - named to WCHA All-Academic Team in Senior year – WCHA Regular Season League Champions in 09/10 – WCHA Final Five Champions in 09 – NCAA Frozen Four Regional Tournament appearances in 07/09/10 - Denver Cup Champions in 07/08/09 – attained Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications/Marketing. 2010- Present: ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators – 111 games scoring 22 points on 6 goals and 16 assists including 3 game winning goals – 72 PIM – scored first professional goal on Feb.12, 2011 in 6-2 win over South Carolina – named team’s Most Improved Player in 10/11 - led Gladiator defensemen in 11/12 regular season plus/minus with +13. PERSONAL: Son of Kevin and Cindy Brookwell - brother of Mandy - recognized by Arthritis Society of Calgary with Volunteer Achievement Award – volunteered in off-season for the Calgary Child Advocacy Centre - enjoys wakeboarding, waterskiing and golf.
