Bio: Goal scorer Brandon Wong comes back to North America to resume his ECHL career with the Evansville IceMen after a season over seas. Wong played three seasons with the Greenville Road Warriors and has scored more than 20 goals in each of those campaigns. The Victoria, BC native netted a career best 31 goals fro the Road Warriors in 2011-12. Wong also added 30 assists this season to finish with 61 points. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Wong lit the lamp 27 times in 40 games during his freshman season with the Bobcats.
Career Notes: Led Road Warriors in goals (31) shots on goal (209) and +/- (+20) last season and second in points (61). Recorded most assists (25) and second most points (46) among Road Warriors rookies in 10-11. Notched three points in a game four times during 10-11 season. Posted two points (1G, 1A) in first career Kelly Cup playoff game. Scored first hat trick in Road Warriors history on 1/14/11 vs. Gwinnett. As a senior at Quinnipiac in 09-10 led D-I hockey with 14 power play goals and led Bobcats in points (41) and goals (19). Helped Quinnipiac reach highest ranking in school history (fourth in nation) in December of 2009. Led Bobcats in points as a freshman, sophomore, and senior. 143 points are fifth-most in Quinnipiac history and 68 goals are second-most ever for the Bobcats. Was named 2007 ECAC Co-Rookie of the Year and runner up for the National Rookie of the Year after leading Quinnipiac with 27 goals and 44 points in 2006-07.
Season Notes:Missed eight games due to injury from 2/2- 2/24. Had two-goal games on consecutive Fridays on 1/4 and 1/11. Set a personal best ten-game point streak from 10/28-11/21 where he scored 4 goals and 11 assists. Scored GWG on 1/11 against Orlando and 10/20 in overtime against Gwinnett.
