Last year Kattelus posted 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 33 games with the K-Wings before heading to the Wolves for the remainder of the season last January. Scoring goals came easy to Kattelus a season ago as the forward established a personal career best for goals in a season with 16 (13 in Kalamazoo, 3 in Chicago). Kattelus also possesses one of the most memorable goals in recent K-Wings’ history. Two seasons ago Kattelus established a K-Wings’ ECHL record for quickest goal in a game and second quickest overall, scoring seven seconds into the 2012 Pink Ice Game versus the Cincinnati Cyclones. Prior to turning pro, Kattelus was a four-year standout for Michigan Tech University and played two seasons of Junior hockey. In 2005-06, Kattelus was named the NAHL Rookie of the Year, racking up 75 points (35 goals, 40 assists) for the Bismarck Bobcats. A year later, Kattelus helped Indiana Ice advance to the semifinal of the USHL Clark Cup playoffs.
