Biography
This is his second pro season, having been obtained from waivers by the IceMen after commencing the current campaign in the ECHL with South Carolina. In 16-games with the Stingrays; 16(3-0-3) with 1-GWG, 1-IG and 28-SOG. In 2011-12 rookie pro season in the CHL with Tulsa, tied for the league lead in goals scored by a rookie with 29 and PPG with 8 while his 64-total points ranked second best among CHL rookies. His 208-SOG were third most among first year pros. Tied for the top spot in Tulsa team scoring; 66(29-35-64), earning +4 rating for the season. Scored 3-goal “hat tricks” for the Oilers on 12/27/11 and 2/12/12. Prior to pro career, enjoyed star-studded four-year collegiate career at Plattsburgh State of the Division I SUNYAC Conference. Honors included USCHO All-Rookie Team in 2008; Plattsburgh State Rookie of the Year in same season. Named to All-SUNYAC First Team in 2008-09; All-America First Team from the American Coaches Association in 2008-09; All-SUNYAC Second Team in 2009-10; SUNYAC All-Tournament Team in 2009-10. In four seasons at Plattsburgh, captained the Cardinals during his senior season. Averaged over a point a game throughout his Plattsburgh career; 114-games; 67-goals; 72-assists; 139-points. Older brother, Dale, played three games in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues in 2000-01.
