Biography

Bio: After being acquired in a trade with Bakersfield. McKenzie began his second stint with the IceMen on Nov, 26 against Cincinnati with two assists. The Michigan State alum played 12 games with Evansville during the 2012-13 season, scoring a goal and adding five assists. McKenzie had his statistically best season playing for now former IceMen Head Coach Dwight Mullins with the Allen Americans in 2011-12. McKenzie netted a career best 20 goals and matched a career bench mark in assists in 24. A draft pick of the Ottawa Senators in 2004, McKenzie won a NCAA Championship with Michigan State in 2007 and hoisted the CHL Championship in 2012-13 with the Allen Americans. Over his pro career, has seen extended service in both the AHL with Binghamton, Lake Erie, Worcester and Peoria as well as in the ECHL with Elmira, Johnstown and Stockton. In 2011-12, played his first-ever season in the CHL with the Allen Americans where in 54-games, collected 44-points on 20-goals, 24assists with 168-PIM. It was third time in his career in which he amassed over 100-PIM in a single season. Three-year star at Michigan State U. where he was a member of the MSU team that captured the NCAA National Hockey Championship in 2007. Pro career totals: 278-games; 61-goals; 78-assists; 139-PIM; 451-PIM.
