DRAFTED: Selected in the eighth round (229th overall) of the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks and in the sixth round (174th overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft

2011-12: Skated in an AHL career high 75 games with Lake Erie (T-2 on team), suiting up in all but one game … named the team's winner of the AHL Man of the Year award … scored first pro goal (game winner) vs. Toronto on 10/28 … all of his points were collected at even strength situations ... notched a career high three points (1g-2a) at Texas on 4/1 and scored the game winning goal

2010-11: Skated in three games with Lake Erie (AHL) … signed to a professional tryout agreement (PTO) on 4/7 … made his pro debut on 4/8 at Rockford and registered a shot on goal

AMATEUR: Spent five seasons (2002-07) of his major junior career with Prince George of the Western Hockey League … achieved career highs in goals (40), assists (32) points (72) and plus/minus (+11) in 2005-06 and led the Cougars in goals and points … was teammates with Devin Setoguchi (Minnesota Wild) and Dustin Byfuglien (Winnipeg Jets) ... followed up with a four year career at the University of Alberta (CIS) in Edmonton ... collected 98 points (40g-58a) in 105 career games ... earned a career highs in assists (20) and points (31) in 2009-10 ... in 2007-08, helped guide the Golden Bears to the CIS University Cup championship, was named to the CIS All-Rookie Team and was named Canada West Freshman of the Year ... in his final season, served as team captain and earned the Dr. Randy Gregg Award for athletic ability, academics and citizenship.
