Fort Wayne Komets’ forward Shawn Szydlowski has been named the CCM ECHL Player of the Month for March.Szydlowski scored six goals, added 14 assists and was a +11 in 13 games during the month.The 25-year-old tallied at least one point in 10 of his 14 games and had seven multi-point games, including a five-assist effort in an 8-2 win at Alaska on March 12. A native of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Szydlowski ranks third in the ECHL with 49 assists and 73 points in 60 games this season. Szydlowski has recorded 176 points (74g-102a) in 185 career ECHL games with Fort Wayne and Gwinnett and last season, earned a spot on the All-ECHL First Team when he had 74 points (38g-36a) in 57 games.
