MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager, Doug Christiansen, announced that the Monarchs have signed David Kolomatis and Nic Pierog for the 2018-19 season.
The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.
Kolomatis, 29, returns to Manchester for his seventh season with the Monarchs, including four years in the AHL. Kolomatis has captained the Monarchs for the past three seasons in the ECHL, while playing in 153 games and posting 82 points (19g-63a).
The native of Livingston, New Jersey will be playing in his 10th professional season between the AHL, ECHL and Liiga. Kolomatis has played in 338 AHL games between the Monarchs, Hershey Bears and Toronto Marlies, racking up 144 points (37g-107a).
Pierog, 25, returns to the Monarchs having played two games in Manchester last season after departing Clarkson University, where he captained the Golden Knights for the past two seasons. While at Clarkson, Pierog played in 151 games while scoring 44 points (21g-23a).
The native of Halton, Ontario played two seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League for the Surrey Eagles and Penticton Vees, where he skated in 112 games and scored 73 points (40g-33a) before starting his collegiate career at Clarkson.
