Husso makes NHL debut

Former Missouri Mavericks' goaltender Ville Husso became the 682nd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the St. Louis Blues on Friday at Colorado.

Husso is the fourth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2020-21 season. He went 4-4-3 in 13 appearances with the Mavericks during the 2016-17 season with one shutout, a 3.23 goals-against average and a save percentage of .910.

A fourth-round selection (94th overall) of the Blues in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Husso has made 129 career American Hockey League appearances with Chicago and San Antonio where he has gone 50-54-16 with 10 shutouts, a 2.70 goals-against average and a save percentage of .908.
