GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced that forwardNick Hutchisonhas been signedto a contract for the 2021-22 season.
Hutchison spent the 2020-21 season with the Indy Fuel after initially signing with Adirondack in August of 2020. The 26-year-old racked up 19 points (6g-13a) in 47 games with the Fuel. Hutchison made his professional hockey debut with Adirondack on March 10, 2020, which happened to be the final game of the year. He netted two points in the contest, including his first professional goal.
A native of Hicksville, New York, Hutchison joined the Thunder following his senior season at Canisius College where he tallied 113 points (60g-53a) in 163 games as a member of the Golden Griffins. He was named to the 2019-20 AHA Second All-Conference Team and the 2016-17 AHA All-Rookie Team
Prior to his collegiate career, Hutchison played two years in the British Columbia Hockey League for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and parts of two seasons for the United States Hockey League's Tri-City Storm.
