The Utah Grizzlies have named Ryan Kinasewich as the team's new head coach. He replaces Tim Branham, who was hired as assistant coach by the American Hockey League's Colorado Eagles earlier this month.
Kinasewich has served as the Grizzlies' assistant coach for the previous three years, helping lead Utah to appearnces in the Kelly Cup Playoffs in 2019 and 2021.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Kinasewich enjoyed a 12-year professional player career, including 282 games in the ECHL, with 239 coming in a Grizzlies' sweater. The 38-year-old totaled 394 points (172g-222a) over the course of his ECHL career. He also saw time in the American Hockey League, along with leagues in Austria, France and Italy.
