Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the team has signed rookie forward Lee Lapid to a contract for the 2022-23 season.Lapid signs his first professional contract after wrapping up his collegiate career at Canisius College. The 24-year-old registered 23 points (11g-12a) during his senior campaign with the Golden Griffins giving him a career total of 61 points (30g-31a) in 97 career collegiate games.
He earned academic honors in all four years of school, including AHA Conference All-Academic Team all four years, a three-time All-American Scholar, and AHA Student Athlete of the Year his junior season.Prior to his time at Canisius, Lapid played four seasons with the Toronto Patriots in the Ontario Junior A Hockey League where he was coached by Cyclones' head coach Jason Payne in 2016-17, when Payne was assistant coach for Toronto. He had a breakout season during final year of junior eligibility, racking up 54 points in 50 games across the 2017-18 campaign.
