Hoffman named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

Brody Hoffman of the Quad City Mallards is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 21-27.The 25-year-old went 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .974 in two appearances last week.Hoffman stopped 30 shots in a 3-1 win at Evansville on Friday and made a career-high 44 saves in a 4-1 victory at Wichita on Saturday.Under a National Hockey League contract with the Minnesota Wild, Hoffman has appeared in 35 games for the Mallards this season going 16-16-1 with a 2.89 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.A native of Wilkie, Saskatchewan, Hoffman spent the previous three seasons at the University of Vermont where he saw action in 78 career games and compiled an overall record of 34-33-9 with three shutouts, a 2.45 goals-against average and a save percentage of .914.
