Tristan King scored 3:28 into overtime on Wednesday to give the Allen Americans a 3-2 win over the Idaho Steelheads in Game 7 of their Western Conference Quarterfinals series. Allen advances to meet Missouri in the Western Conference Semifinals beginning on Friday.After a scoreless opening period, Idaho struck first 5:45 into the second period on a Kruise Reddick tally only to see Allen answer 29 seconds later when Chad Costello scored his first goal of the series. The Stelheads took a 2-1 lead into the intermission after Andrew Carroll lit the lamp at 8:27.David Makowski pulled the Americans even with their seventh power-play goal of the series at 7:06 of the third period.Allen, which is 6-0 when facing elimination in the last two seasons, becomes the 12th team in ECHL postseason history to win a best-of-seven series after trailing 3 games to 2.
