Sivak set to return to Aces lineup

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and the AHL's Utica Comets, announced the signing of winger Peter Sivak to a contract for the 2016-17 season.The 34-year-old Sivak was the Aces' leading scorer last season after being acquired from the Fort Wayne Komets. The 5-11, 200 pound right wing scored 55 points (20g-35a) in 51 games with Alaska. He scored his 100th career ECHL goal last season at home on April 8 at home against Colorado.Last season was Sivak's second stint with Alaska. He was a member of the club during the 2013-14 campaign when he helped the Aces win their third Kelly Cup championship. That season, Sivak scored 83 points (31g-52a) in 67 games, winning ECHL awards for Plus Performer of the Year and Sportsmanship. Sivak was also named to the All-ECHL First Team.In addition to an extensive hockey resume in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, Sivak has played ECHL games for San Francisco, Stockton and Orlando, as well as AHL games for Worcester, Abbottsford and Bridgeport.
