Bahntge returns to Gladiators

DULUTH, Ga. - Forward Daniel Bahntge and the Atlanta Gladiators have agreed to terms for the 2016-17 season.

The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Boston Bruins and the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins.

Bahntge returns for his third season with the Gladiators, after missing much of 2015-16 with an injury. In 28 games played with Atlanta last year, the Westlake, Ohio native tallied 15 points (4g-11a).

Bahntge first joined the Gladiators in March 2015 after wrapping up his senior season with Mercyhurst University. He appeared in eight games with Atlanta, tallying five points (2g-3a). The 25-year-old was Mercyhurst’s leading scorer in his senior season, notching nearly a point per game with 36 points (13g-23a) in 39 games. Overall, Bahntge scored 127 points (52g-75a) in 161 career collegiate games.
