Boise, Idaho – Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced that the Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Jefferson Dahl on a contract for the 2016-17 season. Dahl returns to Boise for his third season as a Steelhead.
Dahl, 26, served as an alternate captain for the Steelheads last season and was tied for the team lead in goals with a career-high 22, as well as a team-leading 10 power play tallies, which ranked fourth in the ECHL. The Eau Claire, Wisc. native also ranked second in scoring for the Steelheads last season with a career-high 49 points. Dahl led the Steelheads last season with four four-point performances and had a four-game goal-scoring streak from Dec. 16-26 that was tied for the longest of any Steelhead last season. Dahl played in each of Idaho’s first 69 games last season before an injury ended his campaign.
Dahl has played 110 career games for the Steelheads, scoring 83 points (35g-48a) and ranking just outside the Steelheads' top 10 performers all-time in both scoring categories. Dahl played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin and dressed in 18 games for EHC Klostersee in Germany prior to joining the Steelheads midway through the 2014-15 campaign.
