Doremus joins Monarchs for 2016-17 season

MANCHESTER, N.H.  -  Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Seeley announced that the team has signed forward Daniel Doremus for the 2016-17 season.

Doremus, 24, comes to Manchester after splitting the 2015-16 season with the Allen Americans (ECHL) and San Jose Barracuda (AHL). Doremus began the 2015-16 season in Allen, playing in 11 games, scoring three points on one goal and two assists. The first-year player spent the rest of the season in San Jose where he appeared in 20 games, also scoring three points on one goal and two assists.

The 6-foot, 200-pound forward from Aspen Colo., played 158 games collegiately for the University of Denver, and recorded 90 points on 36 goals and 54 assists, wearing the “A” during his senior season.

After graduating from Denver, Doremus signed a contract with the Worcester Sharks (AHL), playing in five games at the end of the 2014-15 season.
