Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, announced the team has come to terms with forward Alexis Loiseau for the 2016-17 season.
Loiseau, 22, played his rookie season for the Norfolk Admirals after signing with the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League. A native of Havre-Aux-Maisons, Loiseau finished with 40 points (14g-26a) in 54 games with Norfolk. He also appeared in 12 games for the Condors, recording three points (1g-2a).
The second-year forward played four full seasons of junior hockey for Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. He was named team captain prior to the 2014-15 campaign and finished fifth in the league in scoring with 96 points (35g-61a) in 68 games. He led Rimouski in the playoffs to a Memorial Cup berth with 26 points (9g-17a) and finished third in the QMJHL in playoff scoring. At the Memorial Cup, he paced the team with five points (2g-3a) in five games and was named the tournament's George Parsons Trophy winner as the Most Sportsmanlike Player.
