Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced that the club has re-signed forward Gary Steffes for the 2016-17 season.
Steffes scored 13 goals in 24 postseason games helping Allen to capture its second consecutive Kelly Cup title. His six goals in the Kelly Cup Finals against Wheeling are tied for the second-most in a Finals series in ECHL history while his 10 career Kelly Cup Finals goals is second all-time in league history. The native of Grand Blanc, Mich. led the ECHL in goals during the 2014-15 regular season with 44.
He has 66 goals in two seasons with Allen, while putting up 118 points.
