RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, announced that forwards Anthony Collins and Reid Halabi have been signed for the 2016-17 season.
Collins joins the Rush for his fifth season of professional hockey. The 26-year-old played for the Quad City Mallards last season, recording seven points (3g-4a) in 52 games. In the previous four seasons, the Langley, British Columbia native has played in 132 ECHL games with Quad City and the South Carolina Stingrays, compiling 20 points and 354 penalty minutes.
Halabi joins the Rush after splitting his rookie season with the Fort Wayne Komets and the Allen Americans. The 21-year-old played 20 games while recording two points (1g-1a) and 104 penalty minutes. Before jumping to the professional ranks, the Edmonton, Alberta native spent two seasons in the QMJHL with the Moncton Wildcats and Chicoutimi Sangueneens, racking up 330 penalty minutes in 101 games between both clubs along with 14 points.
