Cyclones add to offensive arsenal with Jordan Sims

Cincinnati, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Jordan Sims has signed a contract for the 2016-17 season. Sims has spent parts of the past two seasons with the Evansville IceMen.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals.

Sims appeared in 64 games with the IceMen last season and ranked second on the team in scoring with 46 points (17g-29a), while leading the team with a +18. He also saw two games with the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League where he dished out one assist.

A native of Fort Wayne, Ind., Sims split the 2014-15 season between three teams, seeing action in 19 games with the IceMen, and five with the Idaho Steelheads. In 24 ECHL games that year, Sims totaled six points (2g-4a). He began his pro career that season with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League, appearing in 33 games and totaling 21 points (9g-12a).

Prior to turning pro, Sims spent four years at the University of Connecticut where he posted 101 points (36g-65a) in 146 career games.
