Toledo, Ohio - Defenseman Scott Czarnowczan has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2016-17 season.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings and the American Hockey League's Grand Rapid Griffins.
Czarnowczan has appeared in 100 career games combined in the AHL and ECHL posting 63 points (10g-53a) and 80 penalty minutes to go along with a +38 rating. Last season, the 25-year-old defenseman appeared in 38 games for the Walleye with 25 points (5g-20a) and a +11 rating. During his two years with the Walleye, Czarnowczan has collected 50 points (7g-43a) in 67 games.
The Macomb, Mich. native spent four seasons at Ferris State University prior to turning professional where he posted 63 points (9g-54a) in 141 games. Czarnowczan was team captain of the Bulldogs his senior year and was Second Team for the Senior CLASS Award.
