Everblades agree to terms with defenseman Alexander Kuqali

ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Alexander Kuqali for the 2016-17 season.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League and the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Kuqali returns to Florida after logging a goal and two assists in six games with the Everblades late last season.  Kuqali recorded a goal in his professional debut with Florida in a game at Orlando on March 30.

Prior to joining the Everblades, the 25-year-old blueliner concluded his four-year collegiate career at R.I.T. totaling 59 points (13g-46a) from 2012-16.

The Dallas native amassed 74 points in three seasons during his junior career in the USHL split between the Indiana Ice and the Sioux City Musketeers from 2009-12.
