Gunn heads back to Americans

Gunn heads back to Americans

Allen, Texas – The two-time defending Kelly Cup champion Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced that Mike Gunn has been signed to a contract for the 2016-17 season.

Gunn played in 40 games last season for the Americans, adding five points while collecting 34 penalty minutes. The native of Livonia, Mich. will start his second season of pro hockey this October.

Gunn was acquired in a trade last season with the Wheeling Nailers, where he played in 10 games and had 10 penalty minutes.
