ESTERO, Fla. – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Zack Kamrassfor the 2016-17 season.
The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers.
Kamrass joins the Everblades after recording 24 points (4g-20a) in 62 games with the Idaho Steelheads last season. The 25-year-old also appeared in one game last year with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars. Kamrass joined the Steelheads in the spring of 2015 and logged five points (2g, 3a) in just six games.
The Atlanta native totaled 64 career points (13g-51a) during his four seasons at UMass-Lowell from 2011-15.
