Leen heads to Brampton for second pro season

Leen heads to Brampton for second pro season

BRAMPTON, Ontario - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and the AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced that forward Connor Leen has signed a contract with the club for the 2016-17 season.

Leen played his first full season of professional hockey last year with the Wheeling Nailers, recording 23 points (9g-14a) in 49 games.

The 24-year-old got his first taste of professional action at the end of the 2014-15 season, suiting up in 11 games with the Bakersfield Condors and recording six points (3g-3a).

Prior to turning pro, Leen played four seasons at the University of Maine. In 120 career games with the Black Bears, the Chester, N.Y. native had 53 points (24g-29a) while adding 79 penalty minutes.
