Greenville, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced the team has agreed to terms with forward Angelo Miceli for the 2016-17 season.
A second-year pro, Miceli spent his rookie campaign in the Montreal Canadiens' organization between the Brampton Beast and AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps. In 26 games with Brampton, he notched 20 points (7g-13a) and six penalty minutes. In addition, the 22-year-old made his professional debut with St. John’s on Oct. 10, 2015, and went on to record four points (3g-1a) in 29 AHL games.
A Montreal native, Miceli was better than a point-per-game during four seasons in the QMJHL prior to turning pro. In 255 games with the Victoriaville Tigres, he produced 279 points (118g-161a) and a +12 rating including a career-best 81 points (36g-45) in 2012-13.
