MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Seeley announced that the team has signed David Kolomatis and Tony Turgeon to Standard Player Contracts for the 2016-17 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.

Kolomatis returns for his sixth season in Manchester after splitting the 2015-16 season with the Monarchs and the AHL's Toronto Marlies. With the Monarchs, Kolomatis played in 35 games, registering 17 points (6g-11a) with 16 penalty minutes. The veteran of 338 career AHL games was named the 13th captain in club history when training camp broke.

The 27-year-old appeared in 23 games with the Marlies after being loaned Jan. 23, 2016, and recorded four points (1g-3a) with eight penalty minutes and a +12 rating. In his career, Kolomatis has recorded 144 AHL points (37g-107a). Kolomatis was the 126th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings.

Turgeon, 26, is back for the start of his second stint with the Monarchs after beginning the 2015-16 season in Manchester before being loaned to the Portland Pirates of the AHL. With the Monarchs, Turgeon appeared in eight games, netting a goal for his only point.

The native of Grand Forks, N.D. played in 35 games with the Pirates last season, recording one assist along with 73 penalty minutes.
