Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators, announced that defenseman Dalton Reum has re-signed for the 2016-17 season.
Reum returns for his third season in Wichita and his fourth as a pro. A native of Camrose, Alberta, the 24-year-old blueliner appeared in 65 games last year, recording 12 points (4g-8a) to go along with 111 penalty minutes. He appeared in 26 games in 2014-15 before having his season cut short due to an injury. Overall, Reum has collected 22 points (5g-17a) and 233 penalty minutes in 143 career games.
Prior to turning pro, Reum played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Vancouver Giants and Swift Current Broncos. In 212 career games, he amassed 37 assists (8g-29a) and 191 penalty minutes. Reum becomes the second defenseman signed to the roster. His cousin, Landon Oslanski, was announced last week.
