RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes, announced that second-year forward Destry Straight has returned to the Rush along with defenseman Anthony Mastrodicasa who enters his first full season as a professional.
Straight returns to the Rush after completing his rookie season in the 2015-16 campaign. The 23-year-old center appeared in 60 games with Rapid City last season and racked up 18 points (5g-13a). Prior to turning pro, the West Vancouver, British Columbia native played four seasons in the NCAA with Boston College, winning the 2012 National Championship in his freshman year.
Mastrodicasa came to the Rush last season following the completion of his collegiate career. He defenseman managed to record the first two points of his professional career, both assists, in 10 games with the club. A native of Woodbridge, Ontario, Mastrodicasa completed a four-year college career with Mercyhurst University, registering 56 points (12g-44a) in 132 career games.
