Americans re-sign King

Americans re-sign King

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced that forward Tristan King has been re-signed for the 2016-17 season.

King was acquired n a trade with the Missouri Mavericks during training camp last season and he went on to post 33 points in 53 games for the Americans last season. King scored one of the biggest goals of the postseason for Allen in overtime of Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals to eliminate the Idaho Steelheads.

The native of Minneapolis, Minn. played 11 games in the American Hockey League with the Texas Stars in 2011, scoring four points (2g-2a).

He played four years in the Western Hockey League with Portland and Medicine Hat, with his best season coming in 2010 where he had 65 points in 70 games.
