Cincinnati, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Peter LeBlanc has signed a contract with the club for the 2016-17 season.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals.

A native of Hamilton, Ontario, LeBlanc is coming off of a pair of successful European seasons, accounting for 28 points in 96 games between Sweden's Rögle BK and Finland's HPK, from 2014-16.

LeBlanc has spent the majority of his playing career in the AHL, appearing in 261 games with the Rockford IceHogs and Hershey Bears.  He racked up 132 points (60g-72a) from 2010-14, and enjoyed a career-high 44-point season (24g-20a) in 2011-12 with the IceHogs, leading the team in goals and finishing second in points.

During the 2013-14 season, the 28-year-old got a taste of the NHL, appearing in one game with the Washington Capitals. He also suited up in 65 games with Hershey that season, tallying 28 points (12g-16a).

Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, LeBlanc began his pro career in 2010-11. He recorded 22 points (8g-14a) in 22 games with the Toledo Walleye, before getting called up to Rockford where he was responsible for 30 points (12g-18a).

LeBlanc played collegiately for the University of New Hampshire from 2006-10, and served as team captain during his senior season in 2009-10. He finished his 153-game career for Wildcats with 85 points (34g-51a).
