Justin Buzzeo of the Atlanta Gladiators is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 7-13.
Buzzeo scored five goals and added four assists for nine points in four games last week.
The 26-year-old scored the Gladiators’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Florida on Tuesday, had a goal and an assist in a 6-5 loss against the Everblades on Friday, recorded three points (2g-1a) - including the game-winning goal in overtime - in a 4-3 win at Norfolk on Saturday and had three points (1g-2a) in a 7-6 victory at Reading on Sunday.
A native of Windsor, Ontario, Buzzeo leads the ECHL with 20 points (7g-13a) and is tied for the league lead with six power-play points (1g-5a).
Buzzeo has tallied 51 points (19g-32a) in 84 career games with the Gladiators.
Prior to turning pro, Buzzeo recorded 68 points (29g-39a) in 122 career games at Ferris State University.
On behalf of Justin Buzzeo, a case of pucks will be donated to an Atlanta youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
