ECHL announces fine, suspensions

ECHL announces fine, suspensions

The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fine and suspensions.

Allen’s Brittain fined, suspended

Allen’s Josh Brittain has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #878, Tulsa at Allen, on March 25.

Brittain was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 8:10 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Brittain will miss Allen’s game against Tulsa on April 1.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.

Utah’s Cuddemi suspended

Utah’s Ralph Cuddemi has been suspended for three additional games as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #864, Utah at Colorado, on March 24.

Cuddemi was assessed major penalty and game misconduct for boarding under Rule #41.5 at 18:37 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline.

Cuddemi missed Utah’s game at Colorado on March 25 and will miss games at Rapid City on March 29, March 31 and April 1.
