Kenton Miller of the Elmira Jackals is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 13-19.
Miller scored five goals and added three assists for eight points in three games last week.
The 26-year-old tallied two goals in a 5-4 loss to Wheeling on Wednesday, had a goal in a 6-2 loss to Brampton on Saturday and recorded five points (2g-3a) in a 6-5 win over Wheeling on Sunday.
A native of Redvers, Saskatchewan, Miller has 41 points (27g-14a) in 63 games this season with the Jackals and Wheeling.
Miller has registered 138 points (66g-72a) in 247 career ECHL games with Elmira, Wheeling, Wichita, Utah and Fort Wayne. He has also seen action in 11 career American Hockey League games with Chicago, Manchester and Ontario.
Prior to turning pro, Miller had 117 points (60g-57a) in 242 career games on the Western Hockey League with Spokane, Calgary and Moose Jaw.
On behalf of Kenton Miller, a case of pucks will be donated to an Elmira youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
