ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Tuesday announced that South Carolina’s Marcus Perrier has been suspended indefinitely pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Playoff Game #D-3, Greenville at South Carolina, on April 17.

Perrier is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 10:58 of the third period.

Perrier will miss South Carolina’s playoff game against Greenville tonight (April 18) and any further discipline will be announced later in the week.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
