Quad City Mallards’ defenseman Mike Wilson is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for March after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +15.
The 29-year-old posted an even or better rating in 11 of his 12 games during the month, including a +3 on March 11 at Wheeling, March 18 against Missouri and March 28 at Wichita.
A native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Wilson has 14 points (2g-12a) and is a +19 in 33 games for the Mallards this season.
Wilson has recorded 132 points (27g-105a) in 251 career ECHL games with Quad City, Wichita, Orlando, Victoria and Phoenix while adding 21 points (6g-15a) in 95 career American Hockey League games with Worcester.
Prior to turning pro, Wilson tallied 98 points (19g-79a) in 175 career games in the Western Hockey League with Prince Albert and Swift Current.
In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Mike Wilson with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Mallards’ home game.
