The Manchester Monarchs advanced to the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals on Friday with a 5-4 win over Brampton in Game 6 of the North Division Finals.
Manchester will meet the South Carolina Stingrays, a 4 games to 1 winner over Florida in the South Division Finals, in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Monarchs trailed 3-2 entering the third period, but took the lead on goals from Ashton Rome and Zac Lynch in the first five minutes of the period. The Beast tied the game on a power-play goal from David Pacan at 11:11 but Manchester went back on top for good on a Matt Leitner tally at 15:38.
Rome led the Monarchs in the series with four goals while Daniel Ciampini posted a team-best seven points (2g-5a). Sam Brittain posted a 4-2 record with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .941 save percentage. Pacan (2g-2a), Reggie Traccitto (2g-2a) and Luke Pither (1g-3a) shared the lead for Brampton in the series with four points each.
