Saucerman returns to Monarchs blue line

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Rich Seeley announced that Colton Saucerman has re-signed with the club for the 2017-18 season.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.

Saucerman returns to the Monarchs after scoring 31 points (4g-27a) in his first professional season. The 25-year-old played the majority of the 2016-17 campaign with the South Carolina Stingrays before being acquired by the Monarchs in a trade on March 6. With Manchester, Saucerman scored eight points on (2g-6a) in 11 regular season games.

The native of Colorado Springs, Colo., played collegiately at Northeastern University for four seasons where he scored 64 points (20g-44a) in 140 career games. After leaving Northeastern, Saucerman signed with the Stingrays and played four regular-season games where he scored four points (1g-3a).

In his professional career, Saucerman has played 34 Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Monarchs and Stingrays, and has scored 18 points (4g-14a), while adding a +6 rating in the postseason.
