DULUTH, Ga. – The Atlanta Gladiators announced the signing of forward Patrick D’Amico and defenseman Dalton Reum.
The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.
D’Amico, 22, returns to the Atlanta where he spent most of the 2015-16 season. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native notched 20 points (13g-7a) in 50 games for the Gladiators after earning four points (2g-2a) in 17 games for the Colorado Eagles to start his professional career. An off-season trade sent him to the Indy Fuel prior to last season. In 38 games in Indy, D’Amico managed 16 points (6g-10a). Prior to the start of his professional career, he collected 75 points (27g-48a) in 160 games for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. D’Amico set a career high in his final major junior season as he registered 50 points (20g-30a) in 72 games.
Reum, 25, re-signs with the Gladiators after competing in 44 games for Atlanta last season. The physical defenseman engineered eight points (1g-7a) and 74 penalty minutes during the 2016-17 campaign, his fourth season as a professional. During his 187-game career in the ECHL, the Camrose, Alberta native has amassed 30 points (6g-24a) and 307 penalty minutes for the Idaho Steelheads, Wichita Thunder and Gladiators. Before turning pro in 2012-13, Reum generated 37 points (8g-29a) in 212 games in WHL for the Swift Current Broncos and Vancouver Giants.
