Traccitto re-signs with Beast

BRAMPTON, Ontario - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced that defenseman Reggie Traccitto will be returning for his third season in Brampton after having signed a contract for the 2017-18 season.

Traccitto, 28, he set new professional highs last season in games played (66), assists (21) and points (26). He added six points (2g-4a) in nine games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs, which was tied for fourth on the team.

Traccitto has been a consistent two-way threat since joining the ECHL in the 2015-16 campaign. He has suited up for 127 regular-season contests with the Beast, Ontario and Allen, scoring 43 points (13g-30a).

A native of Oakville, Ontario, Traccitto also appeared in two games for the American Hockey League's Toronto Marlies in the 2014-15 season.

Prior to joining the professional ranks, Traccitto appeared in 190 Ontario Hockey League contests with the London Knights and Niagara IceDogs from 2005-10 seasons, posting 65 points (27g-38a).

He spent the next five seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island and appeared in 120 contests, racking up 97 points (37g-60a), helping him to a pair of First All-Star Team nominations in his Atlantic University Sport conference in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.
