Adirondack adds fifth-year forward Rodrigues

Glens Falls, N.Y. – The Adirondack Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, announced that they have signed forward Paul Rodrigues to a contract for the 2017-18 season.

Rodrigues comes to Adirondack for his fifth professional season, with the majority of his career being spent in the ECHL. Rodrigues appeared in 57 games a season ago with the Norfolk Admirals and amassed 32 points (12g-20a), which was fifth on the team in scoring. The 28-year-old has collected 91 points (37g-54a) in 189 career ECHL games, with his 2016-17 numbers being career highs in goals, assists and points. 

The Etobicoke, Ontario native has also netted 43 points (13g-30a) from 37 games played in the Southern Professional Hockey League and won two SPHL championships with the Pensacola Ice Flyers in 2014 and 2016.  Rodrigues began his professional career after four seasons of collegiate hockey at Oswego State, where he ranks tenth all time in career assists and career points.
